This live session provides a focused overview of tobacco and nicotine use, emphasizing assessment, treatment, harm reduction, and the evolving landscape of vaping and electronic nicotine delivery systems.

Maureen Strohm, MD FAAFP DFASAM

Dr. Strohm is a family physician and addiction medicine specialist who serves as the founding Program Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at HCA Sunrise Health GME Consortium in Las Vegas. She has led the development of graduate medical education programs in family and addiction medicine and has extensive experience in training physicians in the care of substance use disorders.

Her work focuses on medical education and the delivery of comprehensive, patient‑centered care grounded in the biopsychosocial model, particularly for individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.

 

Terrence Sanvictores, DO

Dr. Sanvictores is an Addiction Medicine Fellow at HCA Sunrise Health GME Consortium in Las Vegas and a family medicine physician.
